Some people are under the false assumption that spa chemicals may not be quite as important as normal pool chemicals are.

They think that just because the spa is hot that bacteria floating around in it will be killed off due to the high temperatures. Although it is true that higher temperatures do help to kill off things like germs and some bacteria, it is not true that heat will completely get rid near enough bacteria to prevent skin irritations. Spa chemicals are needed to work together with the temperature of the water.

The chemicals used in a spa are fairly similar to those used in a pool, but they do not need to be quite as intense simply because spas do have warmer water that helps get rid of a good portion of unwanted germs and bacteria.

Before using spa chemicals, it may be a good idea to do some research about how the chemicals react to hot water and the affects they might have on skin.

Spa chemicals can be purchased at all of the same places that sell pool chemicals, but if you are looking for more specialized spa chemicals you may want to check with stores or online sites that specialize in spas, since they may have a better idea of how to direct people who are interested in more information or different products.
