Some people are not completely sure about how often they will need to clean their pool filter. The truth of the matter is that it often is not necessary to clean it all too often simply because these filters are well made and are able to deal with their own cleaning without too much problem.

But, after a while, it still happens that there is a lot of debris or oils that can build up within the filter itself. In these cases, it is important to try to fix the pool filter. Perhaps the best way to do this is by taking the filter apart – at least partially – and looking through it.

You can use a stick or your hands to clear debris from the filter area. You also can use soap to try to clear up any grime that might be around.

It is important to make sure that you are able to keep your pool filter clean. If you do not then the filter won’t be able to do its job and you will have to swim in filth.
