Pool fences are required to follow several regulations and rules that make sure that the area is safe for swimmers of all ages.

Because the amount of accidental deaths among children around swimming pools is shockingly high, there have been rules and regulations put into place in order to decrease the likelihood that a child could get into trouble around a pool.
Some of the more important rules that have recently been put into place by many municipalities are:

• The owner of the pool must have pool fences in place.
• There should be a warning sign that mentions that a pool is under construction if it has not yet been built.
• All new pools that are constructed on a roof or a deck need to have a fence around it as well.

Although some of these rules may sound restrictive their true intent is to make swimming safer for everyone and allow everybody to be safe around the pool. Having then proper kinds of pool fences is a big part of this process.
