How to Clean Your Pump Basket

• The proper way to clean your pump basket is to first turn off your pool system/water pump, and use a rubber mallet to gently open the pump basket lid.
• Once opened, always inspect the o-ring to ensure that it is not cracked or missing; if it is, click here to purchase a new one.
• Then, lift the basket out of the pump, remove all debris and replace the basket back into the pump.
• Close the lid tightly and check to make sure there are no leaks by turning your system/water pump back on and inspecting the pump basket lid for leaks.
• This process should be done frequently to ensure your pump is working up to standards without any debris clogging it.
