Floating
pool lights are items that are not typical for most swimming pools,
but invariably almost all who swim in a pool with these lights want
them for their own pool!
Although electricity and water are two things that don’t and
should not normally mix, this has not stopped some companies from designing
floating lights and lamps that are waterproof and can be used in a pool
or a pond area.
There are two main occasions when these lights may come in handy:
• First of all, if you are having a pool party, there are lights
that are kind of globe-shaped that can stay in the water with you. These
lights do not really get in the way and you do not need to worry about
not making waves to make sure they stay upright simply because there
is no upright position.
• Secondly, these lights are sometimes made to resemble lamps.
This means that as a person looks out onto the water, it actually looks
like lamps are floating in the water. It’s a neat sight. Typically,
lamps are a bit more expensive than spheres and are more often used
as a party decoration around the pool, but not necessarily in it.
Floating pool lights can cost more than a hundred dollars a piece,
but they also may be found for less. The most important thing to check
on is how waterproof these items are.
